Founded in the year 2007, Infolinks is the third largest advertising platform which offers ad solutions for both publishers and advertisers worldwide.

Infolinks was founded by Yariv Davidovich and Israeli entrepreneur and investor Oren Dobronsky and has now been acquired by Thrive Plus LLC (Thrive+) which is a company focusing on digital video advertising sector.

Advertisers use Infolinks ads to promote their business whereas publishers like bloggers place those ads within their sites to make money.

Advertisers can get massive benefits since Infolinks serves contextual ads that are strategically placed on relevant websites to increase their conversion rates and publishers can make money by placing Infolinks ads in various ad formats such as in-text, in-frame, in-screen etc.

Infolinks for bloggers provides a wide range of ad formats that appear in different sections of your website (in text, on the footer as a sticky ribbon, interstitial ads to name a few) that serve relevant ads based on your visitors’ browsing history.

The is the same technology used by Infolinks’ #1 competitor, Google AdSense.

  5. InFrame
  6. InTag

Let’s briefly talk about all of these ad formats from Infolinks so you’ll better understand about how you can use these ad formats to make more money.

#1. InText: These are actually keyword based ads and when a reader hovers on them, an appropriate ad appears (so when they click, you make some commission).

As you can see from the above screenshot,  you can pick your link style (either double or with dotted lines) and also choose any color you want to display your InText ads.

Infolinks Requirements: Infolinks Approval Trick

Infolinks doesn’t have strict user approval rules but as a blogger you should take care of the following points before applying to ensure faster approval:

  1. Make sure your blog looks professional and has a clean theme.
  2. Try to have at least 5-6 decent, error-free blog posts (check out my Grammarly review to help you with grammar) before applying.
  3. If you’re not fluent with writing, use these writing tools or AI writers to generate content automatically.
  4. Have an about page, a contact page and pages like privacy policy/disclaimer in place.
  5. There is no offensive content on your website.
  6. None of these tricks are officially mentioned by Infolinks to get approved but I’ve personally seen sites that fulfill the above criteria have greater chances of approval not only for Infolinks but also for AdSense.

After the following, here are the next steps you should take to get your Infolinks approved:

1) Check Infolinks Eligibility Criteria

First things first. Even if you’ve a small blog, you can still sign up for Infolinks as there’s no particular eligibility criteria for how small or big a site is.

Just make sure your website’s content doesn’t contain anything that’s:

  • Illegal
  • Negative in nature
  • Offensive

There’s no minimum requirements for page views or visitors to your website as well. That means, even if your website gets 100 views a day, you still can join Infolinks.

Did I forget to mention that, there’s no set up fees and you can instantly sign up for Infolinks?

2) How to Use Infolinks?

If you want to monetize your site with Infolinks, here’s a step by step process.

  • Step 1: Click on this link to visit their sign up page. Enter your website’s URL and then you can sign up either using your email or Facebook login details.
  • Step 2: You’ll instantly get an embed code that you can use to insert infolinks ads within your website.
  • Step 3: Now, simply copy paste the embed code within your website (where you want to insert your ads) or you can use their plugin if you’re using WordPress, Blogger and so on.
  • Step 4: Immediately after you sign up, your account will go through a review process. Once you receive the successful confirmation email (which takes usually 1 or 2 days), you can start using Infolinks ads.
Quick Note: Your Infolinks application will be processed and a confirmation email will be sent to your email within 2 business days following a review of your site. Once approved, you can integrate Infolinks ads to start monetizing your site.

To be able to integrate Infolinks ads into your website, you first need a verified account (which takes around 2 days after you successfully sign up).

How Do I Add Infolinks Code to WordPress?

If you’re a WordPress user, you can simply install their free plugin (which you can get access to after signing up) and the ads will appear on your site after you activate the plugin.

How to install Infolinks to your WordPress b

Here are the next steps which are involved in integrating Infolinks ads into your website.

  • Step 1: Install the plugin. Go to your WordPress dashboard Settings > Infolinks In Text Ads
  • Step 2: Now, login to your Infolinks account.
  • Step 3: Copy PID and Website ID to plugin Settings and you’re done. Infolinks ads will automatically will start showing up.
  • Step 4: You can anytime customize your Infolinks ads however you want.

For instance, you can get the look you want by customizing the color, underline style and number of InText ads per page under the Customize tab in your Infolinks account.

Here’s how it looks like:

Similarly, you can do customization according to your needs on any ad format.

Infolinks Payment Proof (Earning Screenshot)

In case if you’re wondering how the Infolinks payout looks like, here’s an earning  screenshot of Infolinks payment from India’s leading blog ShoutMeLoud.com.

Please note this payment proof of Infolinks is back from 2011, their blog as now grown multiples of what it was back then and they no longer use or recommend Infolinks.

Like I have said before, even if your AdSense account is banned or remains approved there are millions of ways to make money from your blog other than Infolinks.

How to Increase Infolinks Earnings? Working Tricks

Are you looking for ways to increase Infolinks earnings?

Infolinks is not a pay per view ad service, instead it is a pay per click (PPC) ad service. You can highly increase earnings from Infolinks and similar ad programs by increasing the CPC of your ads.

Any advertiser program that serves ads based on visitors’ interests highly depends on your visitor’s intent and quality.

If you have an audience that talks and searches for luxury items online, when they visit your website Infolinks will serve them related ads. And ads from high-end products will definitely earn you a good CPC.

Similarly, if you’ve an audience who has less buying power then they’ll normally be targeted with low quality ads that will not earn you good ad income

If we consider all the above points to be ideal, the revenue now completely depends on the amount of visitors your website gets.

Let’s say you’re bringing 3000 unique visitors a day to your site, here’s what happens.

  • Ads placed in each blog – 4
  • Total number of daily visitors – 3000
  • Total number of ad impressions – 4 x 3000 = 12,000 per day
  • Cost per Mill (Earning for 1000 impressions) – 2$ (This may vary but this is an average earning CPM)
  • Daily average earning – (12,000/1000) x 2 = 24$ / day

So the monthly income would be 30 x 24 = 720$

Did you get it?

That being said, here are some of the ways on how to increase earnings of Infolinks.

  • Ad placement is important: Where you place your infolinks ads play a vital role in getting more impressions and clicks on your ads. Fortunately infolinks provide you a variety of ad formats ranging from InText, InArticle, InFrame and so on, so you’ve a wide range of options to place your ads for better earnings.
  • Increase your traffic: As we just discussed above example, you won’t make a decent income from Infolinks by getting 100 visitors a day. That’s why it’s important for you to increase your search engine traffic by targeting high CPC keywords where you can drive “highly qualified visitors” to your websites who are in “buying mode”. The amount of search traffic you get determines your Infolinks earnings.
  • Target high CPC keywords: If you’re ranking for highly profitable keywords with high CPC (Cost Per Click), you’ll definitely increase your average cost per click. Just make sure the search volume is low and the keywords you choose have high CPC. You can use tools like SEMrush, Keyword Planner etc to estimate the CPC of any keyword.
  • Related: Read our keyword research guide to find high CPC keywords.

How to get paid with Infolinks?

First things first:

There’s no limit on how much you can earn with Infolinks as there’s no cap. So it’s a good news if you really want to make more money with Infolink ads.

You can use your Infolinks dashboard to see how many people are clicking on your ads and how much commission you are making from those clicks.

What is the minimum payment threshold of Infolinks?

Infolinks has a minimum payout threshold of $50 for most users who are primarily using PayPal, eCheck or Payoneer as their mode of payment.

That means, if your clicks generate you $50 or more, you can transfer your commission to your PayPal or preferred payment modes each month.

Infolinks Review 2023: My Verdict

Although Infolinks is a non-obtrusive and effective contextual ads platform that has easy approval process, it is no longer recommended by us.

It pays almost nothing compared to the mess it brings to your site’s user experience.

Infolinks is no longer one of the best AdSense alternatives for small websites. Specially when we have better options like Ad Thrive, Ezoic and even complete other monetization models like Amazon affiliates, offering services or selling sponsored posts.

Infolinks is good only till your website is still not large enough. Infolinks pay rate is like peanuts for bigger sites.

The reason why high profile blogs (think of my blog!) don’t use it is because Infolinks isn’t anywhere close to other blog monetization programs (like affiliate marketing, sponsored ads etc) as far as ROI is concerned.

Once you have decent traffic try to make money from your blog using other effective methods like affiliate marketing and selling your own products.

Here is a list of high-paying affiliate marketing programs for bloggers that you can join and promote to make much more than what Infolinks will make for you annually.

FAQs About Infolinks

How much can I earn from Infolinks?

There is no limit to how much you can earn from Infolinks. You can earn a decent amount with Infolinks. Having said that, don’t expect earning 5 figures with it. If you’re serious about your earnings, there are better ad networks like Ezoic etc

Can we use Infolinks with AdSense?

Yes, you can absolutely use Infolinks with AdSense. But, I will recommend not using it with AdSense because it ruins the user experience plus AdSense pays more.

Is Infolinks better than AdSense?

Simple answer, no. Infolinks is nowhere close to AdSense in terms of earning potential, CPC and user experience. AdSense has better ad inventory, more features like “experiment feature” to see what type of ads and how much of it performs well on your site.

Is Infolinks good for India traffic?

Yes, Infolinks is great for Indian traffic. However, if you’ve decent traffic you might also want to consider other ad networks like Ezoic or CPA programs to get better revenue.

Is Infolinks a good website monetization platform?

With all honesty, Infolinks is only great for beginners as an AdSense alternative. However, if you have good traffic (at least 200 unique or 300-400 page views per day) I recommend you to try other blog monetization models.

What is Infolinks approval time?

Infolinks doesn’t take time for approval. For most sites, the approval process is almost instant. However, if there is an issue you can contact them and try to make it faster.

Infolinks vs Chitika (Which is better?)

I haven’t used Chitika very recently and I don’t think it would be fair to compare the Chitika I used (5-6 years ago) to the Infolinks of today. You can try and decide for yourself.

Great and explained so well about Infolinks review.
I am blogging for last 8 years and I monetized my both blogs with amazon affiliate links.
This year, when amazon reduced fee rate, after that, I started to use google adsense ads.
I started to make with amazon and google adsense.
Yesterday first time, I applied for infolink and my account was approved right away.
I put the code and made 6 cents yesterday, which is so funny. But It made my site so awful, so that’s why I started to read about and would like to know, what others are saying about this ad program?
    Thanks for the Good review.

    • Swadhin Agrawal

      Hi Jaswinder,

Glad you liked the review. I wouldn’t recommend Infolinks anymore. If your site has traffic you can apply for better display ad programs like Ezoic, Mediavine amongst others.

Infolinks will ruin your user experience and you wouldn’t want that. Let me know how it goes. :)

  2. Siddharth Thakur

    Hi Swadhin.

I started blogging 2 and a half months ago. Since then everyday is a say at school. I am using Infolinks since a week. But as I get very less traffic, I don’t think I will get much earnings.

My niche is motorcycles, i am thinking about creating another blog with a high traffic niche. Anyway, nice article. And you are linking within your website so nicely. Lot to learn from you.

  3. PAWAN

I just got approval for infolinks, though I was trying to get adsense, but it’s showing different errors like sometimes policy violation and sometimes scraped content. My blog is fresh, so, don’t have much traffic, any tips to boost earnings?

  4. Osuolale Olamide

Info links really need to work on transparency. I just started using them but I am yet to understand how I can earn.

  5. Ashutosh Kumar

Great you have reviewed infolink. I think this is a great ad network for monetizing the initial blogger. Overall your review is good. I will implement in my blog. Thank you

  6. Rohit Nair

Thanks for your review of Infolinks. I am going to use Infolinks and I need to know about it because my AdSense is approved but I want something else as an AdSense alternative to boost site earnings. :)

  7. karma Phuntsho

    Hi swadhin,
Informative writeup! Earlier I also add infolink in one of my blogger websites but earning are really bad. I guess that’s because most of my traffic is coming from Asian countries.

keep sharing a nice article in the near future!

  8. Abdul Raheem

Nice article on infolinks! It’s far better than Adsense, they will approve your account if your website has good content and a good number of traffic. The ads were placed automatically and easy to use. Who are tired with Google Adsense can apply for infolinks.

  9. CHARLES KIYIMBA

I have not used infolinks before. But after reading your review, I am now considering trying it out on my website. Hope it will provide me with additional income over time.

  10. Edem Buameh

    Indeed
i thought i was getting it wrong but its true and this post has just confirmed it
    Infolinks has gone wrong
My Entertainment blog Holykey1.com, yesterday got 3,744 views and earned just $0.13
    Pathetic!
considering the fact that 80% of that traffic was coming from the USA
    Something is definitely wrong

  11. Sumera

I’m also using infolinks on my blog using intext ads, and some time infold, but other ones ads were not very effective for my blog so I consider that only intext and infold ad are best for my blog because these two types of ads are show in high quality ads performance and great look.

    • rohit

I recently opted for infolinks as my google adsense got disabled for invalid activity.

  12. Carlito

    Hi Swadhin,

Thanks for this great review =)

I’ve started using Infolinks November 2018 and earnings are pretty good. I’ll be receiving my 1st payment hopefully by January 15 as they release payment within 45 days.

May we all have good earnings this year =)
    Thanks!

  13. Muideen Samuel

Hello Swadhin Agrawal, I have been using infolinks since 2017 and I hardly make $1 in a month. any guide on how to increase my profit (Tech Blogger)

    • Swadhin Agrawal

      Hi Muideen,

In order to suggest you ways to boost your Infolinks earnings I would like to know how much traffic you’re getting, what ads you’re running and other things like how your site looks (theme and UX).

I’d usually pair Infolinks with another ad network like AdSense etc so that the revenue share stays good.

  14. HIMANSHU SHARMA

    Dear Swadhin,
    Wonderful tuto!
I am sure this Infolinks review will be a boon to the newbie bloggers!
I fully agree with Enstine Muki who expressed his concern here.
Yes, a few years back, I too opted for this and it literally created a mess in my pages and I received lots of complaints from my readers saying the reading of your page is extremely difficult due to the Infolink text ads appearing all over! And I was in a dilemma: my readers or few pennies! I opted for my readers!opted out from the ads.

But, recently I read a wonderful review by Nisha Pandey about this in her page and she recommended it and since I have AdSense I thought it may clash, but by reading her review I felt that it is good to try ones again and I opted for one, and wrote a small post about this linking back to Nisha’s page and published in my page and again I applied for an Infolinks account to my surprise they rejected my application for no reasons, when I checked web I could see many low category pages are displaying these ads, and till now it’s a mystery that why they rejected my application!

My traffic too is in a good position than when applied for Infolinks for the first time!

    • Swadhin Agrawal

Did you contact them? What was their response?

    • Scott

Hello I am scott from infolinks, feel free to email me at scott@infolinks.com. I’d be happy to look into this for you.

  15. Shantanu Sinha

    Hello Swadhin,

Great piece of information over here :)

Infolinks is something very new to me and the review you provided up hereis of so much help.
Thats sounds very interesting, that we can link up infolinks with Google Adsense and can end up in making good amount of money.

This is something good to go for the newbie bloggers who are looking to make money out through their blogs.
As people complains about that some times Google Adsense bans them for some reasons thus its good to have infolinks to
do that task on their behalf.

    Thanks for the share.

    Shantanu.

  16. Rubel

    Hello,

Great Review of Infolinks, but I have some question sin my mind regarding Infolinks.

As I am looking for a secondary way to monetize my website, Does Infolinks do well with Adsense? And also, my majority traffic is Indian, will Infolinks pay good for Indian traffic?

Urgently want 2nd monetizing method as Adsense is not doing good with Indian traffic, also the CTR is low.

    ~ Rubel

    Hey Swadhin,
I am currently using in-text, in-tag and in-fold ads on my blog to make money from Infolinks and they are working pretty great. I am making amazing money each month.
But do you recommend that I start using in-frame and in-screen ads as well?

  19. Kimsea Sok

Thanks for sharing..! It was a nice reviewing about Infolinks. Actually, I used to work with infolinks for almost a years while my Adsense account was banned.

Honestly, at that time I have tried many Adsense alternative programs such as Media.net, Chitika, and Infolinks. I found that Infolinks is the best program in amount of alternative program those I tried…

    Thanks for sharing..

  20. Pradeep Kumar

I started using Infolinks on my first blog, but after that moved on since I needed some space to use other sponsored ads. But I’m regularly using them on my client + demo blogs. Great service. :)

    The referral program is awesome.

    Hi Swadhin,

    Informative review indeed :)

Yes, one’s heard so much about Infolinks, and we even tried it at one time but they don’t pay all that much, so left it I think. But I like the referral bit you shared here, which makes it all the more interesting.

I agree about the various ways you can use Infolinks, and it surely is a great way to earn from your blog, especially for those who have problems with other kind of advt and adsense etc. I must share this with my better half and see what his expert views are :)

    Great review of Infolinks Swadhin.
What I know is if you try this platform and fail to properly configure it, it can mess up your blog. Sometimes those links jumping everywhere can really be annoying ;)

I have reviewed and used them before so I recommend the platform especially if you are having issues with Google Adsense ;)

Do have a wonderful week bro
